Dr Kevin Peeters joined the Belgium Surgery team recently at our AZ Jan Portaels hospital and Atlas Clinic .

He graduated from the medical school of the University of Antwerp with highest honors. Subsequently he undertook two years of general surgical training at the AZ Sint-Jan Hospital in Bruges under Dr. B. Dillemans’ leadership.

He accomplished his four-year training to become a plastic surgeon at the University hospital of Ghent, under the direction of Prof. S. Monstrey and Prof. Ph. Blondeel. During this training, he focused mainly on reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the breast.

After fulfilling his education he furthered his expertise while working with several renowned surgeons abroad.

He specialised in aesthetic facial surgery under the lead of Dr. Barry Jones in London and Prof. Yixin Zhang in Shanghai.

Finally, he completed an additional training in breast surgery and cosmetic surgery after weight loss with Dr. Craig Layt in Australia.

Dr. K. Peters is a certified plastic surgeon with INAMI number 1-36848-19-210 and is member of the Royal Belgian Society for Plastic Surgery (RBSPS).

In 2002 I graduated as a Medical Doctor cum laude at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium and I started my training in general surgery for six years. From 2008 I am licensed as a general surgeon in Belgium.

I was trained in vascular surgery in the Imeldahospital in Bonheiden, Belgium, from 2007 till 2009..
During this period I was trained in all aspects of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, but with special interests in endovascular techniques.

From september 2009 I was appointed as a vascular and thoracic surgeon at the Jan Portaels Hospital in Vilvoorde, Belgium. Endovascular procedures and treatment of varicose veins are my main activities.

Dr Bourgeois is an expert in gastroenterology and endoscopic obesity treatments for many years.
